why having kids doesn't have to ruin your sex life with Hannah Witton

Hannah Witton is no stranger to the subject of sex and relationships.

She has a special interest in this area and has been making sex and relationships education videos on her YouTube channel for over 10 years attracting over 700k subscribers and 100 million views. She also hosts the successful podcast, Doing It, which explores the world of sexuality, relationships, dating and our bodies with an expert guest each week.

Hannah is also a new mum, which has led to her exploring the themes of gender, sex and relationships when it comes to pregnancy and parenting.

As she loves talking about taboo topics in a friendly, open and honest way, we couldn’t think of a better person to speak about this topic for our audience. She gave us so much insight on this topic, from how to keep the spark alive when you have no time and are exhausted to how to communicate effectively with your partner to be on the same page when it comes to intimacy.

If this is something you are currently experiencing or thinking about here are Hannah’s top tips:

  • Take the pressure off sex. You could even make a rule between you that you’re not allowed to have sex for a certain amount of time and see what happens.

  • Focus on sexual currency. This is all the ways you interact with each other that is sexually charged but isn’t sex. Think flirting, passionate kisses and playfulness.

  • Think about *why* you want to have sex. What is it you need? Is it connection? To feel desired? Or more just sexual release? Are there other ways you can meet these needs in your relationship outside of sex?

If this sounds like something you would like to explore in more detail, check out Hannah’s YouTube channel as well as her successful podcast, Doing It, which explores the world of sexuality, relationships, dating and our bodies with an expert guest each week.
