HOW TO MAKE A SUCCESSful CAREER PIVOT AT ANY STAGE WITH NICKY ELLIOTT

  • Drake & Morgan Kings Cross 6 Pancras Square London United Kingdom (map)

The idea of having the same career throughout your working life seems very outdated in today’s modern world. With the advent of technology and flexible working, career pivots are increasingly becoming the norm.

A career pivot - the idea of transitioning from one career to another; whether this is in a different sector, or a totally new industry - is undeniably tempting. You may currently be considering one or perhaps just feel stuck and know you need a change, but don’t know where to start. These are issues facing many working women today – you’re not alone.

So how do you make a career pivot?

Join us to hear from Nicky Elliott, host of Women’s Business, a podcast for career women, as she explains what it takes to make a successful career pivot - whatever stage you are at.

Nicky will use her knowledge from interviewing inspiring women who have made the change including all their twists, turns, complications, maternity leaves, and new starts.  She will also use her own experience of being a serial founder and career pivoter, to inform an enlightening discussion to help you take on this next phase with energy and excitement.

In this session we will cover topics including:

  • Navigating a career break and the implications on your career longer term.

  • How to approach a career pivot when you don’t have ‘the big idea’ yet.

  • How to take your idea to the next level and making it work with your current circumstances.

  • Q&A

You will leave the session with honest, practical, and real advice as well as tools and insights to apply to your own professional life.
