YOUR 7-DAY GUIDE

MONDAY: Art Catwalk & The BIG Egg Hunt

Start the week boldly at Tate Modern for the UNIQLO Tate Play: Bruce Asbestos, S/S 2025, where kids can design ‘snail-inspired’ outfits from paper and card, then take to the runway with a grime soundtrack by Snowy. Look out for Dash, a giant, Matisse-inspired snail sculpture as the Turbine Hall turns into a colourful catwalk. Ideal for a cultural day out with room to roam. Runs daily until 21st April. Free

For a more leisurely start to the week take part in the The Big Egg Hunt, a free art trail across London, where giant decorative eggs are hidden in plain sight. Created in partnership with Clarence Court and The Elephant Family, this whimsical hunt turns your everyday stroll into an Easter adventure all while supporting a brilliant cause. Free

TUESDAY: Optical Illusions & Scented Clues

Head to the Twist Museum on Oxford Street for a full on sensory experience with more than 60 illusions, puzzles, and tricks that make you question what you see. It’s hands on, high energy, and great for kids who love colour and curiosity. Paid

To calm the senses afterwards swing by LUSH Spa on Oxford Street for two fun, free Easter activities. In the Carrot Hunt, kids can search for hidden carrots marked with letters to crack a secret code and win a prize. Then, join the Bunny Hunt, where they follow scents, solve riddles and find a hidden bunny for a special surprise. Both activities are perfect for a central London pit stop. Free

WEDNESDAY: Flower Printing & Bunny Brunch

Start the morning with brunch hosted by Peter Rabbit at The Corner by Jackson Boxer restaurant in Selfridges, Oxford Street. With a spring themed menu including avocado on toast with poached egg , potato cake nest with devilled eggs and American pancakes topped with strawberry compote, white chocolate, and blueberries, it’s a special midweek moment for families. Paid, booking required.

Afterwards head to the stunning Fitzrovia Chapel for an art workshop led by Christina Rose Brown. Using fresh flowers and natural dyes, kids can create dreamy, abstract artworks and add playful embellishments. A mindful midweek moment. Paid, booking required.

THURSDAY: Painting, Play & Power Station Energy

Head to Battersea Power Station where they are celebrating Easter in a big way with something for everyone: think chocolate market, spring crafts, basket decorating, face painting, mini rides and more. A buzzy atmosphere with loads to see and do and if it all gets too much, take a leisurely stroll along the river and see London in a new light. Free/Paid (depending on activity).

It’s the last day to take part in the Creative Learning sessions at the National Gallery’s new Roden Centre for Creative Learning. Families can dive into the world of art including taking part in picture tours, create artwork inspired by Mexican artist José María Velasco’s, try still life drawing and simply let creativity flow. Free

FRIDAY: Bug Imagination at the Horniman Museum & Gardens

Meet Maxine, the 3m tall praying mantis sculpture by artist David Shrigley, on display in the Horniman’s Victorian Conservatory for the Easter holidays. The Mantis Muse is a playful, powerful celebration of creativity and the role of art in education. Drop in today and tomorrow to explore, colour, and sketch your own still life inspired by Maxine, with all materials provided. Free

SATURDAY: Papercraft Blooms & Light Play

Explore how different cultures have assigned meanings to flowers through time at Spring Flower Secrets at Leighton House. Kids can craft their own symbolic bouquet using beautiful papers and hidden messages. It’s gentle, creative and in a stunning setting. Paid.

For curious kids who prefer hands on experimenting, the Design and Draw with Light exhibition at V&A South Kensington is an ideal way to wind down the week. An open-ended, inclusive, creative session for children and families it uses lightboxes, overhead projectors, and colourful materials to explore light, dark, reflections and shadows. Free

SUNDAY: Boogie with the Bunny & Spring Trails

For a wholesome Easter Sunday head to Chelsea Physic Garden for their Little Artists Easter Trail. Follow the trail through the gorgeous walled garden, stopping off to create spring themed art along the way. A slow paced family day out with hands on activities in lush greenery. If you are feeling more in the party mood, wrap up the Easter holidays on a high at Big Penny Social’s Easter Family Disco.
